Quint is the deuteragonist of the 1974 novel Jaws by Peter Benchley and it's 1975 adaptation of the same name directed by Steven Spielberg. He was played by the late Robert Shaw.

He is the captain of the movie, when Chief Brody was throwing chum in the water and the shark was trying to eat Brody's hand. Later in the movie when Quint have bar in the boat, and lights are out Brody and Hooper are scaring them. Later he shot with a gun in the water and the shark eats him.
