Him is a 2025 American sports horror film, directed by Justin Tipping who co-wrote the film with Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie. Produced by Monkeypaw Productions, the film stars Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers. The film premiered on September 19, 2025.

Plot

A promising young up-and-coming football player (Tyriq Withers), is invited to train at the isolated compound of a dynasty team's aging QB1. The legendary almost retired quarterback (Marlon Wayans) takes his protégé on a blood-chilling journey into the inner sanctum of fame, power and pursuit of excellence at any cost.

Production

Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie wrote a spec script for a horror feature film involving one of the greatest of all time (GOAT) athletes. In June 2022, Monkeypaw Productions optioned it for further development with Akers and Bronkie staying on as the writers and Universal Pictures distributing. At the end of the year, the full script, then titled Goat, was voted onto The Black List of best unproduced screenplays in 2022. In January 2024, Justin Tipping was announced as the director with Marlon Wayans starring, and later Tyriq Withers joined the cast. In February, Julia Fox joined the cast. The film was retitled Him with the setting of its release date in May 2024. Principal photography had been completed by November 2024.
